Hi,
I enclose a photo I would be grateful if anybody could help in dating the photograph.
Has anybody any ideas where this photograph was taken and about what era.It was with my Grandads Venners photos so is most likely to be in the Seaham Area.

I wonder if you can help, I recently acquired the old Pentecostal Church in Emily Street, ( former cookery School) I was trying to trace its history. From the deeds I see it was built by the Marquis of Londonderry around 1909 as a school, but I can’t find out what the school was called or any early photos of it, can you help?
I would be also interested if any local people have any strong opinions as to what should happen to the building as I am currently looking at trying to give it a new lease of life by renovating it. The options suggested so far include splitting it into a number of interesting apartments (probably 4 ), a studio for artists, offices or some sort of community facility.
Best regards
Don Cousins
Don is doing the decent thing here and asking for opions on what use the building can be put to, so lets give an opinion.....
How about it does anybody know any history of the buidling, particularly when it
was a school. Better yet does anybody have any photo’s? If you can help, please
