Rutherford's Buildings was at the very eastern end of North Railway St, joining the southern ends of North Terrace and Back North Terrace.  (See highlighted area on the map).

 

not. The row of houses just around the corner in Tempest Rd were originally Sebastopol Terrace but now seem to be called Tempest Road.  The postal address of the houses now known as 1-5 North Road was originally Coastguard Cottages,

I do not think there was ever a street officially named Coastguard Cottages though I may be wrong. The short row of 3 or 4 houses at the southern end of North Road, now officially North Rd, on the opposite side of the road and slightly north of the old Barclays bank were known as the Coastguard Houses / Cottages, maybe incorrectly maybe
